NFF NAMED SUPER EAGLE TECHNICAL ADVISER

The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, have finally named the technical adviser for the Super Eagle team.

Le Guen

Following the resignation of the former technical adviser Super Eagle, Sunday Oliseh, who quit in February, the NFF have named Paul Le Guen, a Frenchman, as the new technical adviser with the Super Eagle care-taker, Salisu Yusuf, been given the role of the chief coach.

Le Guen, 51, led Cameroun to the 2010 World Cup finals while Salisu Yusuf led the Super Eagle in a friendly between Mali and Luxembourg which he won. They were shortlisted along with Belgian Tom Sainfiet earlier this month. Coach Imama Amapakabo and goalkeeping trainer Alloy Agu will also work with Le Guen and Yusuf.

Nigeria's Super Eagle failed to qualified for the 2017 African Cup of Nations finals which will hold in Gabon. And now they are drawn in what is known as the group of death for the 2018 World Cup along side Algeria, the number one team in Africa, Cameroon and Zambia
