PRISON-BREAK IN NIGERIA: 15 INMATE BROKE OUT

About 15 inmate have been reported to have broken out of one Nigeria prison. The NSUKKA prison in Enugu State, experienced a jail break on Tuesday Night.




A source told News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday that says that this Micheal-Scofield inmates  broke their cells and scaled the perimeter fences of the prison. "This inmate carefully opened thier cells and sclaed the perimeter fence of the prison. Before the prison officials who were on night duty will know what was happening, about 15 inmates had  escaped", said the source.

Mr Lawrence Onkonkwo, the controller of the NSUKKA prison, confirmed the escape but was reluctant to be specific on the actual number of inmates that escaped.

                            

“Yes there was a jail break last night in Nsukka prison but I am not in a position to say how many prisoners escaped. “We are expecting the Enugu state Prisons Controller, Mr Isaiah Amariri, in Nsukka prison so that we brief him on what happened last night.", said the prison controller.

 “He will be the one to tell the public the number of inmates that escaped, re-arrested ones and efforts put in place to arrest those still on the run”, the source added.
