"NO INSTITUTION SHOULD WRITE POST-UTME"- PROF. ISHAQ
The news that POST-UTME, Post Unified Tertiary Examination, will be scrapped is now for real.
According to Channels Television, Professor Ishaq Olarenwaju Oloyede, the new Registra of JAMB, Joint Addmission Matriculation Board, made this known on Friday, 12th of August, 2016. Prof. Ishaq made it known, while addressing reporters during a visit to JAMB headquarters in Benin City, Edo state, that as it had been announced by the Minister of Education no institution should write post-utme as the matter as been resolved totally after cosultation with Senate, House of Representatives, and other regulatory angencies.
"There is no ambiguity about what will happen. As has been announced by the Minister for Education, there will be no written post-UTME examination by any institution.Apart from that every other steeps remains as it used to be." he said.
He also said that the Federal Government will continue to respect to academic board and decision making bodies of the higher institutions including senate of Nigeria for them to be more effective.
