NPFL AND LE GUEN FAILED TO AGREE ON TERMS

Despite the announcement made by the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, namin Paul Le Guen as the country's Football team, Super Eagle, technical adviser,  few days ago, the country's Football Federation has failed to agree terms with Le Guen.

The two parties have failed to meet contract terms which will decide who will work with the chief coach, Mr. Salisu Yusuf , the former caretaker of the Super Eagle in a friendly match against Mali and Luxembourg, which he won.

The NFF's general secretary told BBC that Le Guen "has rejected our terms".

French football reporter Herve Penot, a friend of the coach, told Sport Today on the BBC World Service that Le Guen had had discussions but had never agreed a deal.
"He met the president of the federation, his requests were not met so that was it - it was finished," he said.
The two roles, "Chief coach and technical adviser", is still unclear how it work, although Clemens Westerhof and Bonfrere Jo had the similar title some years back.

In meeting held today, Mr Salisu was named the Chief coach of the super Eagle while an agreement failed to met with Le Guen and the NFF's technical and development sub-committee was asked to recommend a candidate for the post of the "technical adviser" in the next seven days.
