MILITANTS ATTACK LAGOS:THE KING OF IBA ABDUCTED AND WIFE INJURED
Last night, was dreadful night in the town of Iba, along Iyana Iba, Lagos state, when some gunmen stormed a monarch palace in the town.
Oba Yushau Goriola Oseni is the king of Iba, one of the first class Yoruba traditional ruler, was abducted when the gunmen who have been related to the Ijaw Militants who are on a revenge mission. His was injured in the process and a neighbourhod guard was shot dead. A policeman was said to have been killed also in the process.
When a Public Relation Officer, Dolapo Badmus, was contacted around 00.44am, she said she is not aware of the kidnap.
The security of Ojo and Badagry area has been questioning recently. The insecurity of the area seems to be getting worse and worse from the killing of 50 people in Ikorodu to kidnaping and robbing people on the Lagos/Ogun waterways. Cornelius Ojelabi, who spoke during a Town Hall meeting in Badagry told Governor Akinwunmi Ambode lamenting that his four-year old grandson was kidnapped since January 20, 2016 and that the police had not done anything about the kidnap.
When will the Government react to the insecurity in this areas?
