IMOSE STOOD IN UNITY AS IJAW YOUTH ATTACK
Imose community was attacked this afternoon by the so called
Ijaw youth, but the community stood in unity. Although, most people have left, but those remained will stood in unity. Even if the government will not respond quickly.

Another witness said, “I almost caught up with one of them.
He nearly fell down but supported himself with the riffle in his hand”. Those
people who ran after them went with different types of weapons except guns.
They went with cutlass, iron rod, knives and many more.

“The people of the community would have caught at least one
of them today, if they had had a good support”, another witness said.
The real leader of the community (Name withheld), not the Baale
(The one was supposed to be the leader), led the attack, with the real aspirant
or the post of Councilor stood up. The people of the community, both indigenes
and non-indigenes came out to stand in unity. “Enough is enough”, was what they
were all saying.

According to another eyewitness, “I saw one the indigenes of
this community including one of the driver of the local boat that use to transport
us, the passengers, across the river.”
The Odua People’s Congress were said to have come immediately
after the incident and started shooting. The policemen were said to have
entered the community more than two hours after the incident.

Meanwhile, when the incident started happening more than
month ago complains were laid by the community leader to the ZONE 2 of the
police headquarter in Lagos including the one in Agbara, the Local government
of the community and nothing have been done. The Policemen will just come and
go the same they have come in.
