HERBALIST APPEARED ON PROJECT FAME LAGOS AUDITION
The Project Fame West Africa Season 9 Lagos Audition was full of laughter when a herbalist appeared on the stage for auditioning, which took place at the Ultima Studio.
The man in the herbalist costume was identified as Awopeju Olaniyi Philips, I guessed his name says it all. Awopeju is a Yoruba name, a tribe in Nigeria, which simply means "The cults are complete". Herbalist is definitely a kind of cult. He was simply praising his tradition.
He was dressed in costume that comprises of beads, robes, animal skin and a horse tail to complete the match. He claims that is costume represents the cultural diversity and unity of African continent.
The judges were not convinced of his vocal power nor thrilled by his comical performance and elaborated attire. They could not get him pass the arena.
