BREAKING NEWS: IMOSE RIVER TO BE REOPENED TOMORROW
The town crier of Imose community was seen today, beating his gong, to announce that the river, which the so- called Ijaw youth have been attacking will be opened tomorrow.
It was a good news for Imose community as the news was broke today in the early hours of today morning. For many nights, after the Ijaw youth came on land to attack the community and were chased back, landlords and Oodua Peoples Congress in the community have responded to keep sleepless night in order to stay at alert as the Ijaw youth might re-enforce.
The Ijaw youth came twice in the night after they attacked the Imose community but the OPC stood against them. Reports reached us that on the first night they attacked the OPC were able to gun down two of the Ijaw youth. They came another nigh but were to scared too come on land for the fear of been ambushed as the OPC have laid some ambush for them near the shore of the river.
The community now have confidence to announce that the river will be re-opening tomorrow for services and transporting. This must have been that the community leaders assuring the people in the area that there is no cause for alarm anymore.
Some schools have resumed on Monday and have started preparing for their exams, while schools that were supposed to have vacated have postponed their exams to the second week of next term resumption.
