BRAZIL OLYMPICS: IMMINENT ATTACK PREVENTED
10 members of certain group who were planning to attack Brazil in the upcoming Olympics games have been apprehended, official have confirmed.
Ahead of the Olympics game, which will commenced in two weeks time, certain members of a group which have been confirmed to be making contacts with the so-called Islamic State, IS, via messaging services such as whatsapp. The group have been confirmed to be members of IS but were Brazilians who working and making contacts from 10 different states across the country.
This group were arrested while trying to make contacts to suppliers of AK47 weapons. About 80,000 police have been said will patrol the game which will end on 21 August, Authorities have confirmed.
