POSSIBLE ATTACK ON FOREIGNERS IN LAGOS NIGERIA - U.S WARNS

The United States Enmbassy,US, warn all expatriates and foreigners of imminent attack in Nigeria biggest city, Lagos, this public holiday marking the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.



Tuesday and Wednesday have been declared public holidays for Nigerians to mark the celebration of the concluded Muslim's fasting and prayer. Although, the US didn't really mention a particular group that will carry out the attack but warn foreign visitors to be security caution and monitor local media for updates. This was made known on the US embassy website.

This is not the first time the United States are making such warning, December last year and May 14, 2015, April 2012 and November 2011, similar security warning was alarmed.

Although. Lagos have been, spared by the insurgent sects in Nigeria, popularly known as Boko Haram. Lagos which consits of more than 20 millions of people have been warned last year after a car bomb in the capital, Abuja, killing 19 people, of attacks at two Sheraton hotels.

According to Punch  US embassy of warned citizens to review their personal security plan and be vigilant about their sorrounding.
