GERMAN MACHINE KNOCKED DOWN AS FRANCE PROCEED TO THE FINAL

Anthonio Griezman scoring the second goal.
It was a night to forget quickly for Germany and a Night never to forget for France at the Stade Velodrome, in Paris, France, in the ongoing Euro 2016.

Germany were the favorites, in fact the team you would have bet everything on before the game for their dominance from the beginning of the tournament.  Not that France, the host team, are not fantastic, but in a clash like this and looking at the stats, you would have given it to Germany.

France discipline and resilience was their key to success. Germany well better on possession but how many time have known that possessions don't win games but goals do. France took the lead with a penalty kick taken by Anthonio Griezmann, Atletico Madrid striker, after an infringement was discovered by the referee.

Griezman doubled up the goal after a very poor defending by the German defenders. The game ended France 2 - Germany 0.

France will now face the Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in the final which will take place in Paris on Sunday.
