POLITICS IS NOT ALL ABOUT MONEY- Oyegun... "Buhari wouldn't have defeated Jonathan if politics is all about Money", said Oyegun

"Buhari wouldn't have defeated Jonathan if politics is all
about Money", said Chief John Odigie-Oyegun
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has deduced that if politics were supposed to be all about money, Muhammadu Buhari, the party’s presidential candidate in the 2015 general elections, will not have been voted into office.
Former Edo governor made this known while receiving a female governorship aspirant in the forthcoming Edo gubernatorial election, Mrs Tina Agbarha, who visited him at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.
While advising the aspirant not to focus much on the role of money in politics, the APC chairman emphasized  that; “If it were all about money President Muhammadu Buhari would not win.”
He added that Buhari was able to win the election he competed against the then incumbent president, Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, because “the people trusted him (Buhari).”
Oyegun then urge the governorship aspirant to take her campaigns “very, very seriously”, promising that the party would give all aspirants a level-playing field by conducting free and fair primaries.
He however called on all aspirants to be ready to collapse their structures behind the flag bearer to stand united in the election.
Agbarha, had early commended the chairman for the free nomination and expression of interest forms for women and urged him to create more opportunities for women in the party.
