WHY IMOSE, TOTOWU AND ISEFUN PEOPLE IN OGUN STATE WERE BEING ROBBED ON THE RIVER.

For the past three (3) weeks, both the indigenes and the non-indigenes of Imose, Totowu and Kande have been experiencing great looting of their properties on the river that divided them from Adexon in Lagos ,Isuti road in Lagos and Isefu in Ogun state respectively.

Imose inhabitants were robbed just last week and Totowu was robbed just last night, around 9pm and 7.30pm respectively. Business men and women, private office workers, civil workers, casual people who were arriving from different places of works, markets or casual visiations were robbed while on local wooden boat destined to theirplace called home, both indigens and non-indigenes.

Eye witness told CLENET that passengers were looted of their money, personal mobile phones, rams and chickens needed for certain ceremonies, bread to be sold, and many more.

"I was looted of N120,000, the money I have worked for five (5) months was collected from me", a man said after the incident.

"I was beaten, my N27,000 and my phone was collected. The beaten was so much that I had to jump in the river to escape.". And others also have their stories to tell.

Rumors also have it that the Robbers keep telling the looted to go and see one Akinrogun if they want their phones back.

The eye witness also said that these armed robbers would have been caught as their flying boat engines got knocked down and fuel exhausted but they improvised by forcefully removing the engines of the local boats they robbed leaving the passengers stranded in the middle of the river. Until after the robbery that one the boat drivers swam back to the shore to get another boat to convey the passengers back to their destination. Report have also reached us that some of the people leaving in these areas are already vacating the areas for their safety.

The question on everybody's mind is, "Who are the people responsible for these outrageous acts". Rumors are having it that the people involved in this outrageous act are people that know the in out of the rivers as the rivers are linked to each other, if not how were they able to escape on traced after the robbery?, how did they know the route to follow after the robbery? Which are bringing some people to the conclusion that it could be the indigenes themselves.

But CLEFNET was able to meet an eye-witness who happened to be a reliable source.(Name withheld). Who narrated and shed lights to the darkness on everybody's mind.

The eye-witness narrates as follows:

"It all started in 2014 when the Ijaw people invaded one of the rivers in Ogun state because they found out that fuel pipes run under those rivers, which they later started using as bunkery act. This Ijaw people has a leader known as General. These gangs were belived to be responsible for the robbery at Agbara, Ogun State, earlier this year where a banks were robbed. And these gangs escaped through the water transportation. Some of them were later caught where their Leader, General, was killed. While the rest of the gangs escaped.

The escaped gangs then wanted to take over the bunkery in Obadore to Imose river. But the person vigilating that area, known as Akirogun Of Isefun Land, Real name Ade wouldn't allowed them. So he reported to SAS and the police men who raided their companies and shot one of them in the leg but failed to survive the shooting.

This made these gangs retaliating looking for Akirogun Of Isefun Land, Real name Ade. And I think they started looting people in these areas because they needed funds for their operations.

They carry out their operation fully armed with sophisticated flying boats that surpass the local wooden boat used in these areas.

These robbers are believed to be living some where on the rivers where the map could not reach them.

So we are calling for the help of the Government to please intervene in this matter and save our lives and properties."
