STUDENTS WEAR ROBES AND CHURCH GARMENTS TO SCHOOL IN OSUN STATE
The crisis of what the student are allow to wear is taking a new dimension in Osun State. Since it is normal and legal for Muslim female student to wear to hijab to school, which was declared by the Governor of Osun State, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, the Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN, as also declare the wearing of robes and church garments to schools.
This statement was release on Friday by the CAN chairman, Elisha Ogundiya, who said the decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the association’s executive committee, and heads of Churches held in Osogbo on June 7.

“We are here to ensure that no student is send back home from school, We are here to defend the right of our children, since the female Muslim students are free to wear hijab, our own children also are free to wear anything.” said Head of the Catholic Bloc of CAN in Iwo, Paul Olagoke.
