RUSSIA 2018 AFRICAN QUALIFIERS: NIGERIA DRAWN IN THE GROUP OF DEATH

Gone were the days when the Nigeria Super Eagles used to be invincible. These days there ability to perform on big platform is questionable. They have disappoints Nigerians both away and at home. Now here comes another bigger platform where they are to make Nigerians proud and prove they are the REAL GIANTS of Africa. But can they do it?

The Super Eagle of Nigeria who failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nation, have now been drawn in a group B, "group of death", for the Russia 2018 African Qualifiers. This group consists of  Nigeria, Cameroon, Zambia, and Algeria.

The Confederation of African Confederation, CAF, have announced the group standings for African qualifiers for the World Cup that will take place in Russia in 2018. With Nigeria drawn in group B which consists of some of the best teams in Africa. The group consists of Algeria who are currently the best African team both in the world and on the African soil, while Cameroon stands in 10th, with the Super Eagle of Nigeria in 12th in African ranking and only Zambia stands in 20th. And a team can qualify. There about five groups which means only five teams can qualify for the Russia 2018.

The question is can Nigeria qualify in this group? For many Nigerians football lovers the hope of Nigeria qualifying from this group is zero. Since they have failed to qualify for AFCON in a group consisting of Chad, Egypt, and Tanzania. Now they are drawn in a group consisting of the African giants.
