N.F.F : APPLICATION FOR SUPER EAGLE MANAGERIAL POST THREW OPEN
With Russian 2018 qualification approaching and the final qualification of 2017 African Cup of Nation, A.F.C.O.N., where all hopes are gone already, yesterday, Tuesday June 22, the technical and development committee of Nigeria Football Federation met for discussion.
The Super Eagles have been without a coach since Sunday Oliseh resignation in late February and Samson Siasia and Salisu Yusuf, two interim coaches, have took charge of the team’s last four matches.
The NFF has said that a new manager will be named in time before the commencement of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in October.
According to Goal, the N.F.F didn't make up its mind on not revealing the identity of the technical adviser but that once the
role has been declared open, the technical committee will immediately consider
the applicants before shortlisting and inviting credible candidates.
“The technical committee unanimously
agreed to throw the job of the Eagles’ head coach open so that the best can be
gotten. Even before this is done, the chairman of the committee has received
lots of application letters from willing coaches both within and outside
Nigeria. We are declaring the post open so that the best coach can be appointed
for the senior national team,” the source told Goal.
