Last two nights, after the killing of a Mopol during the attack of the Ijaw youth a day before, there was another robbery around 10 pm in the night on the river of Totowu-Isuti-Egan, in Igando, one of the boundaries between Lagos/Ogun state. Eye-witness told CLEFNET that the robbery took place late in the night. Although, any activities on the river was stopped but later in the night some inhabitants of that community and neighboring communities  who were at the other end of the river needed to crossed the river and go to the various homes. So they have to make calls for assistants on the other side o the river.

During the process of crossing the river they attacked. "We were naked. They collected everything on us. Were driven back to where were coming from. Before driving us back to our supposed destination " said one of the passengers in the attack.

Yesterday, some crowd of protesters were seen in the palace of the leader of the Totowu community, who were also earlier seen in Imose community, known as Baale, to protest and help put a stop to the attacks they have expressing on the river. Rumors have it that the Baale of Totowu advised the people who want to leave  to leave. So as at yesterday, 90% of the community is emptied and report also got to us that some people were also seen today leaving as well.

PEOPLE LEAVING THE COMMUNITY

The reasons for people leavin according to rumors, was not only for security reasons but that a letter was reported to have been sent to the community of Totowu indicating that no activities on the river again and the people of the communities have been given till June 30th to leave failure to comply will result to drastic attack. "For the past four days now I have given myself suspension on the river.", one of the driver of the local boats said.

Although, few schools were seen opened in Imose community, but more than 90% of schools were not active today. And don't know when they will be opening.

How long will this continue?  What exactly is the Government doing about this? Will they do anything at all? When will the Government reply to the chaos in this communities?
