EURO 2016 UPDATE: THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS, SPAIN OUT OF EURO
At Stade de France, this evening, the defending champions, Spain, who were the current holder of the last Euro lost to Italy in an entertaining football match.
Italy defeated Spain by 2 goals to 1 in Paris, thanks to Graziano Pelle, who scored the second goal for the Italian team to seal a victory for them in 93 mins. Although, Spain pushed for an equalizer but they were goal shy. Pique nearly got an equalizer after a solo effort from a cross into the box 18, but Buffon, the Italian goal keeper denied him a goal.
Spain who defeated Italy in the Euro 2014, where they were knockout, were now defeated by the same Italy in this Euro 2016. Italy will now face Germany in the quarterfinal, who defeated Slovakia by 3 goals to nothing, and who are looking like the team to beat in the on going Euro 2016.
