EURO 2016 UPDATE: POLAND PROCEED TO THE QUARTERFINAL WON ON PENALTY SHOOTOUT
GRANIT XHAKA MISSED PENALTY
It was a game of nerve at the EURO 2016 second round game between Poland and Switzerland. It was 1-1 draw for 120 minutes game which has to be decided by a penalty shootout. Poland took the lead in 39 minutes into the first half through Jakub Blaszcykowski before a superb scissors kick from Xherda Shaqiri to level up with the Polish. After 90 minutes the scores remain the same which took them to the a 30 minutes extra-time which also proved undecided.

A very horrible penalty kick from Granit Xhaka of Swizerland, one of the worse of the tournament, saw Poland proceed to the quarterfinal. The penalty ended 5-4.
